This type of towel absorbs moisture extremely well. Customers who buy a microfiber towel are often surprised by its exceptional properties. Towels made of this fabric last a long time, do not shed lint at all and do not retain unpleasant odours. Top-quality towels are often very expensive, and the high price puts buyers off. Microfiber towels, however, thanks to lower raw material costs, are accessible to everyone who values quality at a reasonable price. Customers love them for their exceptional softness and long-lasting properties.
Like everything in this world, they have both positive and negative sides. As it is a synthetic fabric, it can be said to contribute to environmental pollution, since it is produced in a similar way to a plastic bag. On the other hand, we know that this type of towel is very durable and helps curb overconsumption. Of course, it all depends on the buyer's own needs and wishes. We can assume that if everything is used in moderation and responsibly, we will not harm the ecosystem.
Cotton towels are familiar to consumers. Price-wise you can find both cheap and expensive cotton towels, but quality depends heavily on that too. It is worth mentioning that cotton yarn has closed pores, so when it gets damp and stays that way for a long time it starts to give off an unpleasant smell if kept in a poorly ventilated room. Microfiber yarn has open pores. As mentioned earlier, these open pores absorb moisture well but do not give harmful microflora a chance to multiply. Thanks to this property, even towels that have not been washed for a while do not smell unpleasant.
Although microfiber does not retain unpleasant odours, a towel is still a hygiene item. It is recommended to wash it often, at a low temperature of around 30–40 °C, together with clothes of a similar shade. Rinse aids and softeners are not recommended, as they clog the microfiber pores and over time the fabric absorbs less moisture. You can tumble dry the towel or hang it on a drying rack in the usual way – the end result will be the same. The towel will stay fluffy whichever way you dry it.
Luxury is often associated with naturalness, distinctiveness or uniqueness. Does Elia‘s HOME aim for luxury? Yes, but at a reasonable price. The towels we create are truly luxurious, above all thanks to their fluffy fabric surface. The luxurious look comes from carefully selected microfiber fabric. These towels have at least 400 g/m2 of microfiber pile, which makes them pleasant to the touch, long-lasting and able to keep their unique properties.
Some buyers associate microfiber towels with surface- or car-cleaning cloths. Because of this misconception, they sometimes avoid trying a microfiber towel. We can assure you that the towels created by Elia‘s HOME are truly soft and pleasant to the touch. They do not scratch the skin; with a short, gentle touch, moisture is instantly absorbed into the fibres, leaving the body dry and ready for any favourite cosmetics. These towels do not cause allergies, are suitable even for sensitive skin and are also recommended for delicate baby skin.
Every customer will find their own way to use it. We have made sure that each towel size has its own purpose. The small Elia‘s HOME towels are perfect for the kitchen and can also be used to dry hands or face. The medium towel is suitable for drying your face or washed hair. Hair dries quickly and usually no longer needs a hairdryer.
The large and extra-large towels are meant for the body. They are great in your bathroom, in the sauna and as a beach blanket. Our product colours suit both classic and modern interiors. Customers can combine them in many ways: some assign a different colour to each family member, while others, aiming for versatility, simply choose one colour that matches their home interior.

How to care for microfiber towels?
Microfiber towels are an excellent choice thanks to their absorbency, quick drying and durability. However, to keep their quality and long life, it is important to care for them properly. Here are the main tips on how to look after microfiber towels.
1. Washing
Microfiber towels should be washed at a low temperature, usually up to 30–40 degrees Celsius. This helps prevent damage to the fabric structure and keeps them soft and absorbent. Important:
- Avoid fabric softeners. Fabric softeners can clog the microfiber pores and reduce the towel's absorbency.
- Do not use bleach. Bleach can damage the microfiber structure and change the colour of the fabric.
- Wash with similar fabrics. Wash microfiber towels with other similar fabrics and avoid washing them together with cotton items, which can leave lint.
2. Drying
Drying microfiber towels correctly is essential for their durability. Tips:
- Air drying. The best way to preserve the quality of microfiber towels is to let them dry naturally. Hang them in a cool, well-ventilated place.
- Tumble drying. If you use a tumble dryer, choose the lowest temperature setting. Too much heat can damage the microfiber fabric.
- Avoid drying outdoors in direct sunlight. Prolonged sun exposure can fade the colour and damage the fibres.
3. Cleaning and stain removal
If microfiber towels get stained, it is important to remove the stains promptly and correctly:
- Light stains. Light stains can be removed by hand washing with mild soap or liquid detergent.
- Stubborn stains. If stains are harder to remove, soak the towel in warm water with a small amount of detergent before washing. Avoid harsh chemical cleaners, as they can damage the fabric.
4. Storage
Storing microfiber towels correctly helps keep their shape and quality:
- Store in a dry, cool place. Make sure the towels are completely dry before putting them away in the cupboard to avoid mould and unpleasant odours.
- Folding. Fold the towels so as to avoid excessive pressure or stretching, which can damage the fabric.
5. Common mistakes
To make sure microfiber towels last long and keep their best properties, avoid these common mistakes:
Mixing with other fabrics. Wash microfiber towels separately from other fabrics to avoid lint and clogged fibres.
Using too high a temperature when washing or drying. This can harm the microfiber structure and reduce its effectiveness.
Using harsh chemicals. Strong chemicals, especially bleach, can permanently damage the fabric.
